Quality of Life Academy is a Community Based behavior modification day program. Persons served are referred to our program by one of twenty-one regional centers that represent the State of California and are responsible for acquiring needed services. It is specifically designed for persons who have not been able to adjust well in other programs in the community. The Academy is a person-centered program that provides support, supervision and personal advancement; especially in regards to their behaviors. The program accepts persons served whose behaviors have far ranges of significance to merely not adjusting socially to a suitable level.
We strongly believe that the program must adjust to the consumer’s needs rather than the reverse. Consequently, each consumer has person-centered planning so that the consumer is happy, comfortable and has a willingness to work on their objectives.
At Quality of Life Academy we place an emphasis on self-discovery and self worth and have them take responsibility in their advancements at their own pace. The consumer must participate and stay committed and then the rewards are earned and have a much better impact that is more lasting.
All our staff is CPR, First Aid and CPI certified. All staff attends ongoing in-services and trainings covering the subjects of behaviors, safety, documentation, abuse reporting, transportation, supervision, emergency drills, client rights and more. Our administrative staffs attend training’s, clinics and presentations at Regional Centers. We are a multilingual company through languages that include English, Spanish, Braille and American Sign Language.
